YTN № 7 is more than a single vision. Alongside our own work, we carry a small, deliberately chosen roster of independent designers whose relationship to material, craft and intent runs parallel to ours — makers committed to the physical, the handmade, and the uncompromising. This is where we introduce them.

Eigengrau

Edward Bell, designer of Eigengrau, in a black leather jacket standing in a concrete passageEdward Bell, the designer behind Eigengrau, is an ex-scientist who became disillusioned with his work in the tech industry. In 2019, he started making clothes to reconnect with the physical and the human. In 2021, Eigengrau was formed with a focus on leather jackets. Eigengrau use animalistic leathers produced by small-scale artisans, and construction techniques that cannot be scaled or co-opted by industry. Every Eigengrau jacket is meticulously produced by hand in North London.


Check Ya Head

The team behind CHECK YA HEAD sitting on a stone bench against an old wall, wearing knitted beaniesCHECK YA HEAD has been making knitwear in Yekaterinburg, in the Ural Mountains, since 1999. Every piece is knitted in their own studio, where craftsmanship and function have remained at the centre of the brand for more than two decades. Their work is shaped by the landscape they come from — long winters, forests, rock, and the quiet practicality of objects made to last.

The Urals are also where YTN №7 began. It is the place where our founder was born, making this collaboration feel less like a discovery and more like a return to familiar ground.

We chose CHECK YA HEAD not because they make knitwear, but because they share the values that define YTN №7: respect for craftsmanship, production rooted in a real place, and a belief that honest materials and careful making are more important than trends.

For YTN №7 we have selected a small edit of pieces that naturally belong alongside our own work — quiet, functional objects shaped by the same appreciation for minimalism, craftsmanship, nature, and the enduring character of the Ural landscape.


139DEC

Black-and-white portrait of Alexander and Marina Karamyshev, the designers behind 139DEC, both dressed in black139DEC is a fashion house from St Petersburg, founded in 2014 by Marina and Alexander Karamyshev. Working across menswear and womenswear, they've built their own approach to leather, denim and construction over more than a decade. Our studios used to share the same building, and in 2017 we started participating in Paris Fashion Week together.


CULT VII

The brand is built around the culture of virtue and the inner values of the individual — its name refers to the seven virtues: love, diligence, patience, kindness, humility, chastity and temperance.

The visual language moves away from the naturalistic image toward the space between figuration and abstraction, where sculptural forms, raw surfaces and natural textures carry an industrial kind of catharsis. Each piece is developed by hand, and its surface relief is created through an experimental process that leaves every texture unique.
