The J03 is EIGENGRAU's racer: short in the body, close through the chest, with nothing about its construction hidden from view. This one is cut from vegetable-tanned horse shoulder — the thinner, more yielding section of the hide, and the reason this version reads softer than the culatta J03 without giving up weight. Horse shoulder carries a fine, irregular wrinkling across the grain that no two hides repeat, and because the tannage is vegetable rather than chrome, the black will shift and deepen with wear, going first at the cuffs, pocket mouths and elbows.

The finishing is deliberately left open. Hems are raw-edged rather than turned. The lining floats free inside the shell instead of being stitched down, so the jacket moves in two layers rather than one. Zip welts are raw. Two zip pockets at the waist, zip cuffs, band collar.

The back can be set with randomised steel staples — silver or steel finish — or left plain. The randomisation isn't a decorative flourish: EIGENGRAU builds around what the studio calls analogue stochasticity, letting real-world chance into the process rather than engineering it out. Placement, sizing and spacing are not repeated between jackets, so a stapled back is specific to the one you receive.

Every EIGENGRAU jacket is individually handcrafted in a London atelier by a single designer. No production runs, no mass manufacturing — just one-off pieces, hand-cut, hand-constructed and hand-finished, so each jacket carries its own distinct character.

Every YTN №7 piece — every bag, backpack, box, belt and necklace without exception — carries a unique serial number and the signature of the maker, and is delivered in signature packaging. Nothing is produced in batches: each item is individually hand-cut, hand-constructed and hand-stitched in the Islington workshop, so no two pieces are identical.

We ship worldwide via DHL or Royal Mail. Orders are made to order and typically ship within 1–5 business days. Production may take up to 1 week.

Returns & Exchanges

Return window: 14 days from delivery. Within that period you may take a refund, or exchange the item or receive store credit if you prefer.
Goods must come back unused, in original condition and packaging. An item returned with signs of wear cannot be sold as new, and the refund may be reduced by up to the full price.
Return shipping is at the customer's expense unless the item is faulty.
Refunds are issued within 14 days of your notice; we may wait until the item is back with us or you provide proof of dispatch.
We offer a 1-year guarantee on all items; repair shipping costs are covered by the customer.
